Currently, the world is fully transitioning into the digital age. Information technology and innovation, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), have come to play a crucial role in education management at all levels, including the teaching and learning of Thai for foreigners, which is considered a vital mission in disseminating Thai language and culture to the global community.

Teachers of Thai for foreigners must adapt to these changes in terms of learning management concepts, teaching methods, instructional media, and learning assessment. This is necessary to align with the context of learners in the digital age, who possess diversity in language, culture, and learning styles. Implementing digital technology and AI in teaching Thai for foreigners can enhance learning efficiency, facilitate learners, and support the role of teachers in designing flexible, modern instruction that appropriately responds to learner needs.

However, the application of AI in teaching Thai still requires knowledge, research, and experience from experts both domestically and internationally. This is essential for exchanging best practices and developing guidelines for using technology with quality and ethics, consistent with the Thai linguistic and cultural context.

The Centre for Thai Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in collaboration with the Sumaa Language and Culture Institute, therefore deems it appropriate to organize the 4th International Conference on Thai for Foreigners. This project aims to serve as an academic stage for presenting and exchanging research, academic works, and experiences in teaching Thai for foreigners, focusing on the theme \"AI in Teaching Thai for Foreigners.\"  This conference will help promote potential development for teachers, instructors, academics, and interested persons both in Thailand and abroad, as well as build an international academic cooperation network in teaching Thai.

Organizing this conference is thus of great importance for elevating the quality of teaching Thai for foreigners to align with global digital changes. Furthermore, it supports the institute\'s mission to promote the Thai language and culture on the global stage and to further develop knowledge in teaching Thai to be modern and sustainable.
